A RISING TIDE LIFTS ALL BOATS — AND THE EAGLES PLAYOFFS CHANCES

The Eagles’ playoff chances increased to 68% after the Saints’ loss to the Fins last night.
That’s according to FiveThirtyEight.com.
Those chances go up to 100% if the Birds beat WFT next Sunday and this happens Sunday:
— The Vikings (7-8) lose to the Green Bay Packers (12-3). The Packers are trying to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC and thus a first-round bye.
— Either a win by the 49ers (8-7) over the Houston Texans (4-11) OR a Saints (7-8) loss to the Carolina Panthers (5-10).
— An Eagles win Sunday would prevent the Saints from overtaking them because the Eagles won the head-to-head matchup on Nov. 21.
