BATTERED AND BEATEN UP WENTZ WANTS BACK IN THE NFL!
By Max Harper
The Commanders released veteran quarterback Carson Wentz last month, and it sounds like he’ll continue playing football. At least that’s what NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport just reported.
“Last night in Indy, former #Commanders QB Carson Wentz was spotted (by my eyeballs) downtown having dinner with his agents,” Rapoport said.
“He’s determined to continue playing and is open to various roles that can help a team.”
It’s unclear if Wentz will have to settle for a backup role next season.
During the 2022 season, Wentz completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 1,755 yards with 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Wentz is several years removed from making the Pro Bowl. Unfortunately, injuries and turnover issues have prevented him from returning to his 2017 form with the Eagles, who traded him to the Colts, who traded him to the Commanders.
