EAGLES STEAMROLL VIKES — COMMIES NEXT UP IN DC ON SEP 25

By Art Beitchman

The house of horrors for Vikings QB Kirk Cousins continued on the Lincoln Financial Field turf last night as the Eagles beat up on the Minnesota Vikings 24-7, moving to 2-0 in the NFC East.

That puts them in first place along with the New York Giants, with the Washington Commanders next up for the Birds on the road on Sep 25.

Cousins finished going 27-for-46, including 3 interceptions, 2 by All-Pro Darius Slay, 1 by Avonte Maddox.

The Birds defense showed up to play stifling the Vikes all night long, sacking Cousins twice in the home opening victory.

Birds QB Jalen Hurts played great throwing 31 passes completing 26 good for 333 yards, a QB rating of 108.7, also a nice game on the ground with Miles Sanders piling up 80 yards on 17 carries.

The Eagles played a complete game on MNF with both offense and defense complimenting each other for the big NFC win versus a team they might see down the road in postseason play.
