IF EAGLES HURTS ISN’T THE NFL’S MVP, WE’D LIKE TO KNOW WHO IS!
By Art Beitchman
Winning an NFL-best 10th game, 40-33 over the Green Bay Packers, the Eagles did it the old fashioned way:
They ran through, over and around the Packers for a season-high 363 yards, an output not seen in these parts in 74 years!
The Birds have been touted for weeks possessing the best offensive line in football, and last night showed why.
With this overpowering ground game, QB Jalen Hurts broke an all-time Eagles record with 157 yards rushing, quite a feat considering Randall Cunningham and Mike Vick also ran for tons of yardage from the quarterback position.
The Packers had no answers for this special weapon that no other NFL teams can stop either, which makes this year’s Birds a special team going forward and into the playoffs.
Next week the Eagles take on the Tennessee Titans at the Linc, 1pm, Fox-29.
