IT’S POSSIBLE GIANTS SAQUON BARKLEY WILL SIT OUT 2023 OVER BUCKS!
By Max Harper
ESPN’s Dianna Russini reports Saquon Barkley and the Giants “remain at a stalemate,” with the deadline to reach a new deal approaching on Monday, July 17th.
The Giants franchise tagged Barkley earlier this offseason, a decision that didn’t sit particularly well with the 26-year-old running back.
Set to earn $10.1 million on the tag this year, Barkley would much rather secure a long-term deal, although the Giants appear unwilling to budge in a market that has been incredibly down for running backs.
Barkley hasn’t ruled out sitting out the 2023 season, which puts the possibility of a training camp holdout squarely on the table at this time.
