LOOKS LIKE THE SIXERS ARE GETTING THEIR ACT TOGETHER
By Art Beitchman
It took the 76ers three games before they picked up their 1st win of the season Monday night versus the Indiana Pacers 120-106.
New bench players were brought in this offseason to bolster a unit that underachieved big time last year.
And it’s taken some time to get these players integrated with the starters, but that was to be expected.
With 36 points off the bench, they cruised past the Pacers.
James Harden dropped 29, Joel Embiid 26, and the bench provided an easy cushion for a 14 point win.
New forward P. J. Tucker let his new teammates know after the 0-2 start that NBA teams are not going to lay down for the star studded Sixers.
They need to play good defense, get contributions from everyone hitting the floor.
After Monday’s win, it looks as though the message was received.
