MATT VIERLING TO THE RESCUE AS PHILS FINALLY WIN A GAME!

Matt Vierling went 5-for-5 with a game-winning RBI single in the 10th inning, lifting the Phillies to a 4-3 extra-inning victory over the Blue Jays.

Vierling capped off a five-hit effort with a game-winning RBI single to center field off Blue Jays reliever Adam Cimber in the 10th inning, sending the Phils faithful home in walk-off fashion.

With the victory, the Phillies maintained their narrow two and a half game lead over the Brewers for the final NL Wild Card playoff berth with two weeks left in the regular season.
