SANDERS RUNS FOR 134, EAGLES 210 IN WET WIN OVER JAGS!

By Art Beitchman

After giving up 14 early points to the upstart Jacksonville Jaguars and the return of former head coach Doug Pederson, the Eagles scored 29 consecutive points on the wet, sloppy turf at the Linc to notch their fourth straight win, remaining the only unbeaten team in the league at 4-0.

They wisely kept the ball on the ground, and Miles Sanders ran for 134 yards on 27 carries, including 2 TD runs.

It was his best day as an Eagle in very wet conditions with it raining hard the entire game.

In the Jaguars previous three games they held opponents to a league best average of 55 yards per game — the Birds got 210 on the ground with 4 rushing touchdowns, they now have a league best 10 TD’s rushing through 4 games.

LB Hassan Reddick also had a huge day rushing the quarterback, mauling Jags Trevor Laurence for 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries, easily having his best day as an Eagles after signing a big contract in free agency.

The Birds travel to Arizona next Sunday to play the Cardinals, another big test versus the 2-2 Cardinals, 4:25/Fox-29.
