SIXERS JOEL EMBIID WILL PLAY TONIGHT IN GAME 2 AFTER 14-DAY REHAB FOR KNEE!

By Mike Bennett

Sixers center Joel Embiid was named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player last night and — barring any setbacks — will return from his sprained LCL in his right knee in tonight’s Game 2 of their Eastern semi series against the Boston Celtics.

Embiid participated in the team’s morning shootaround today and will need to come through that and his pregame workout without incident in order to return to the floor.

According to ESPN, Embiid was the first 76ers player to enter the arena bowl today — as opposed to being the last to do so ahead of shootaround Monday before their Game 1 victory.
