SIXERS SHAKEUP COMING AFTER EMBARRASSMENT IN GAME 7!

SIXERS SHAKEUP COMING AFTER EMBARRASSMENT IN GAME 7!

By Art Beitchman

With the 76ers getting blasted out of the NBA playoffs in the 7th game of the Eastern semis by the Boston Celtics 112-88, there is a bitter and familiar  taste of this season for every Sixer fan.

And it should!

76ers starters didn’t play as if it was an elimination game:

All five finished with minus in the plus/minus category signifying they all played poorly.

Joel Embiid finished with 15 points on 5-18 shooting, James Harden was worse with 9 points on 3-11 shooting.

Amazingly these two Sixers stars played their worst in the biggest game of the year.

How?

Why?

In both games 6 and 7 the 76ers could have eliminated the Celtics and moved on.

They played tight, feeling the heat at the biggest moment — no excuse for high-priced pros hauling down millions of dollars to play well in high pressure situations, both didn’t, now their season is over.

The repercussions of these playoffs are not certain, but some changes will be made this off-season to keep this ending from happening again.
