SIXERS WILL BE TOUGHER, THANKS TO MONTREZL HARRELL!
By Art Beitchman
Sixers president of operations Daryl Morey’s big offseason isn’t quite done yet as he inked backup center Montrezl Harrell to a two year contract last week to be Joel Embiid’s replacement when the big gets a blow.
The 6-7. 240 pounder averaged 13 points, 6 rebounds between the Hornets and Wizards last season in 23 minutes of action.
But he’ll also give the Sixers a bit of nastiness the 76ers have been looking for, and getting with their new acquisitions.
Morey has assembled the most potent roster top to bottom in the Embiid era this offseason, with training camp starting September 27th in Charleston, South Carolina with the NBA title clearly in their sights.
