TIME FOR SIXERS TO MOVE MAXEY BACK INTO STARTING LINE-UP
By Art Beitchman
Poor production from the 76ers reserves has been an issue for two years.
And last Saturday night it proved to be again.
The bench was awful again in a winnable game which they lost to bitter division rival Boston Celtics 110-107 on a last second 3-pointer by Jayson Tatum.
Super guard Tyrese Maxey has been put on the second unit for some pop when the starters sit, but the poor production continues.
Losing leads which the Sixers did Saturday night can’t go on too much longer, especially when the bench only accounts for 12 points, with Maxey getting only 8!
And head coach Doc Rivers must reinsert Maxey as a starter to get maximum production from his young rising star.
We’ll see.
