WHO WON THE TRADE? SIXERS GOT BEST PLAYER, HARDEN, CASE CLOSED

With the huge trade the Sixers made last week to acquire James Harden, they find themselves with possibly the best 1-2 punch in the league.
The pairing with MVP candidate Joel Embiid gives the team a legit chance to win their first NBA title since 1983.
Even before Harden joins the team, possibly Tuesday versus the Boston Celtics, they have played really up-tempo defense, first to clamp down on a Thunder team Friday night, then beating the Cavs, who came in on a roll, on Saturday night. The Sixers turned up the defensive pressure and won 103-93.
Listening to the national media debate over who won the trade is laughable — as one wise NBA GM once said—“Whoever got the best player won the trade”, that still holds true in 2022.
